Psychosomatic Therapy
Break Negative Cycles, Process Your Emotions & Connect With Your Inner Self
A mind–body approach that helps you process the emotions keeping you trapped, connect with your authentic self and overcome life’s challenges.
Creating Lasting Change
Many people seek therapy during times of change or challenge.
While it can feel like something is missing, no one is truly “broken” — and they don’t need to be “fixed.” Therapy provides a space to connect with your inner self, explore past experiences, and discover solutions from within.
Through integrative and psychosomatic approaches, therapy can:
• Explore the underlying factors behind recurring challenges
• Address the psychological and physical effects of difficult experiences
• Replace unhelpful thought and behaviour patterns with empowering ones
• Strengthen emotional awareness and self-connection
• Support more fulfilling relationships, clarity of purpose, and a calmer mind
While therapy isn’t an instant solution, it offers tools to manage emotions, build resilience, and create a life that feels balanced and rewarding.
Healing The Cause - Not Just The Symptom
As an accredited psychotherapist, I work with people from all walks of life to address challenges at their root.
One common factor that often emerges is emotional trauma — a term that simply means an emotional or mental wound.
Trauma can stem from many sources, and it’s not always linked to drastic events like accidents or violence. In fact, some people who grew up in loving homes and have outwardly successful lives may still carry unresolved emotional pain.
Trauma also affects more than just the mind. Research shows our mental state can influence physical wellbeing, highlighting the deep connection between body and mind.
"Her Support Has Been Life-Changing..."
"...She is truly a gifted psychotherapist who can get to the root of what's bothering you, offering deep insights that really ground and anchor you.
Fatima doesn't just provide temporary relief—she gives you practical techniques that you can apply and replicate in your everyday life. Her support has been life-changing for me."
- T.O. (Former Client)
What Really Is Trauma?
Trauma is less about the event itself and more about the inner response it creates. It can arise from many types of experiences — from major life events to more subtle moments that leave a lasting emotional imprint.
Events such as bullying, neglect, or unmet needs may influence how a person sees themselves and relates to the world, shaping beliefs, patterns, and behaviours over time.
How Trauma Can Affect the Mind and Body
Trauma is more than just a memory of past events — it can create self-limiting beliefs, habitual survival responses, and physical sensations linked to the body’s stress systems.
For some, this may include the nervous system remaining in “fight, flight, or freeze” states even after challenges have passed.
Because trauma often develops in moments of isolation or lack of support, healing can take place in a safe, supportive environment such as therapy. This process can help individuals reconnect with inner strengths, cultivate self-compassion, and foster a greater sense of well-being.
In psychosomatic (mind–body) therapy, people sometimes notice how certain memories or emotions are linked to physical sensations — for example, tension in the stomach or heaviness in the chest.
With increased awareness, these patterns can shift, supporting both emotional and physical relief over time.
My Approach
Healing The Mind and Body Simultaneously
I draw from multiple psychological models rather than relying on just one. Each person’s experiences are different, so combining approaches allows therapy to address both the mind and body in a more complete way.
As an integrative therapist, I use a customised blend of:
• Trauma-informed therapy
• Psychosomatic therapy
• Psychodynamic therapy
• Internal Family Systems (IFS, Dr. Richard Schwartz)
• Compassionate Inquiry (CI, Dr. Gabor Maté)
• CBT- and PCT-informed therapy
While talk therapy focuses on thoughts and emotions, a psychosomatic approach also works with the body’s responses to stress, recognising the deep connection between mental and physical well-being. Rather than providing ready-made solutions, my role is to create a supportive space where people can explore, build resilience, and move toward lasting personal growth.

FAQs
What should I expect in the discovery session?
Every discovery session is personalised to the individual. We’ll discuss your experiences, history, and perspectives, and outline your goals for the process. The session is also an opportunity to learn about the approach I use and see how it aligns with what you’re looking for.
I can't find a booking slot.
I only work with a limited number of clients at a time so you might not be able to find any booking slots on my calendar.
If there are no booking slots available on my calendar, feel free to sign up for my waitlist using this link and you will be notified when a session becomes available.
How many sessions will I need to take?
There’s no set number of sessions — it varies from person to person. Therapy is a process of exploration and growth, and each individual’s journey unfolds in its own way. Sessions can be tailored to your goals and interests, whether you’re looking for short-term support or ongoing personal development. A discovery session can help you decide the approach and timeframe that feel right for you.
If you're unsure whether therapy is right for you, I recommend trying a discovery session to see if it feels helpful.
Is confidentiality guaranteed?
Confidentiality is essential to our work together, and everything shared in sessions remains private, except in exceptional circumstances, such as when there is a serious intent to harm yourself or others (e.g., plans for suicide or violence). In some cases, I may seek supervision or consultation with other professionals, but your identity and personal details will never be shared.
